Poka-yoke for your tool crib

Industry-leading CNC Tool Tags

Never pull the wrong tool again. Identify, load, track, one-handed.

Two-part system

Tags ride the holder. The tower owns the machine.

Edgeview Tags

Easy label view at all times, coolant-ready, 25pks

Tool Tag Tower

Super-magnet mount, rotate-to-view, machine-specific.

You already know this problem

Every shop loses time the same three ways. None of it shows up on a job sheet, all of it shows up in the schedule.

Mixed up holders

Two identical holders on the rack, one with a worn endmill. You find out mid-cut.

Re-measuring heights

Nobody knows what is in the holder, so every setup starts with the touch-off you already did last week.

Wrong tool, wrong job

The tool number in the program does not match the tool in the spindle. Now you are buying a part back.

PDX CNC Tool Tag System

It’s just two parts:

  1. The patent-pending tool tag rides on the holder,
  2. The tower organizes the tools in the machine.

The Tool Tag Tower

  • Snaps onto the machine with Neodymium magnets. No drilling, no bracket.

  • One-handed insertion or removal, gloves on, chips everywhere.

How do I make labels?

If you track tools in a spreadsheet, your ERP, or Fusion’s tool library, you already have what you need. If not, no worries, we have tips.

Pull your list

Tool number, gauge length, description — wherever you already keep it.

Print the labels

One at a time, or data-merge a CSV and batch your whole crib at once.

Snap it on

Label into the tag, tag onto the holder. That tool is done, forever.

The easiest way to create tool labels

Integration

AirShop is best way to import, build, and manage your CNC tool library. You can also manage your inventory and send quotes.

Add

Import a CSV or add tools one at a time. Each record gets a code the floor can scan.

Label

Print CNC Tool Tag labels, QR codes, and AirShop Codes. Apply label to tag.

Manage

Diameter, gauge length, brand, and location stay on the tool, not in a notebook.

Choose your Spindle Taper

Tags and towers are taper specific, and sold separately. Easy to add as you grow.

Questions

Can I print labels from AirShop?

Yes. AirShop’s CNC tool library prints tool-tag labels, QR codes, and AirShop Codes. Apply label to tag. See how the tool library works, or use a spreadsheet or Fusion if that is already your source.

Do the tags survive coolant?

Yes. The Edgeview tags are printed in PETG, which is flexible and holds up to flood coolant and washdown. They live on holders in wet machines every day.

Can I order custom number ranges?

Yes. Towers ship in set ranges, but if you need something outside the listed options, email us and we will quote it.

Does the tower ship with tags?

No. Towers and tags are separate products so you can add tag packs as your tool count grows without buying another tower.
