When do I need this adapter?

When you want to use 14x18mm insert tools, like our TWA tool holder adapters , with a 9x12mm Click-Torque wrench such as the Wera X 3 . It plugs into the wrench's 9x12mm mount and gives you a 14x18mm receiver.

Why use a 9x12mm wrench with 14x18mm tools?

Range. The Wera X 3 covers 20-100 Nm, which is below the 14x18mm X 4's 40 Nm minimum. With this adapter one wrench handles the lower torques and you keep using the 14x18mm adapters you already have.

What wrench do I use this with?

Any Wera Click-Torque X series wrench with a 9x12mm holder, such as the X 1, X 2 or X 3.

What torque do I use?

See our torque specs here , and stay within your wrench's range.
